Born in 1968, Yetgin graduated from Police College in 1987 and Police Academy in 1991. He worked in Istanbul Forensic Police Laboratory as Forensic Document Examiner until he was retired in 2010. He also worked in various United Nations missions during that period.

Yetgin was one of the organisers of Security Audit and Control of Information Systems conferences to raise awareness for IT security.

During his governmental work, he developed number of forensic software including DNA fingerprinting database application. He created papers on electronic signature and biometrics as side studies .

Yetgin started to work for Guler Dinamik Customs Consultancy, where he gained experience on international trade procedures, after his retirement. He finished Institute of Export’s “Certified International Trade Advisor” program and studied his master’s degree in University of Commerce on “Authorised Economic Operators and Mutual Recognition Agreements“. Yetgin also completed his doctorate studies on “Impact of ICT & ERP Systems on Country Exports” in the same University. Cuneyt Yetgin is one of the co-founders and Directors of Chain & Chain Technologies Ltd. and also General Manager of ATEZ Software Technologies, both focusing on next generation software solutions for cross-border movement of the trade goods, international trade compliance and customs procedures.
